Welcome to Part 3 in our 4-part series on Your Role vs. Your Identity as we discuss the danger of letting your identity be defined by your role as “mom”.

Being a mom is a 24/7 job. It’s unlike the job you had in the workplace. At work you may have been recognized and rewarded for a job well done. Mommyhood isn’t like this. Instead, you may get told you’re the worst mom in the world world just because you gave your child milk in a red cup instead of a blue cup. I think we can all relate!

In this week’s video, I address the lack of appreciation we can feel as moms, as well as how it can be easy to become so consumed with our children that we forget about our spouse. It can leave us feeling unappreciated and exhausted. The way we feel about ourselves suffers, which can also affect the people around us.

Watch part 3 as I encourage you to again remind yourself that your identity doesn’t come from what you do a s MOM but who God created you to be.
