Welcome to Part 2 in our 4-part series on Your Role vs. Your Identity as we discuss the danger of letting your identity be defined by your work.

As a professional women who used to be in the workplace, I enjoyed setting goals and crushing them. I relished in the opportunity to personally development myself and move up the corporate ladder.

Fast forward to now… at home with 2 kids and a husband… it can be very hard to feel good about myself when it’s a constant flow of dirty dishes, laundry, and cooking meals. Sometimes it feels like nothing gets accomplished! Can you relate?

It’s in these moments that you and I may feel that we are not “good enough.” You may feel that you aren’t accomplishing anything which can lead to dissatisfaction and depression.

I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way. If we build our identity on who God says we are, and not in our work, we will find greater fulfillment knowing that we are always “good” and “enough” in the eyes of the Lord.
